Once you’ve selected target keywords, you need to create content around them. Use your keywords (and related terms) in titles, headings, image tags, and the body of your page text. Words in URLs should be separated by hyphens and not underscores. You should reach out to them at least three times, and clearly document each of these attempts. In particular, words joined with underscores may be viewed as a single word during searches which is rarely what you want. Writing for humans is just the first part of your SEO strategy and one that works with our next tactic, namely giving visitors what they want. As well as great quality content you need a website that is easy to use and provides a great user experience – in other words, don’t make your visitors think. If your website is hard to navigate, information is difficult to find or the design is too busy then visitors are unlikely to stick around no matter how well written your content is.
